Little words, by Zanna
|
I don't think people notice
The damage they can cause
Just from little words
'Bout other peoples' flaws.
The 'flawed' just sit in silence
Don't dare stand up and say
How much that they are hurt
By people everyday.
Insults shouted loud
Comments whispered low
Laughing from a distance
And nobody will know.
Not only heard from ememies
But the people we hold dear
The closest friends, the ones we love
Always can manage a sneer.
We have to sit in silence
There is no one to tell
'Cos the people, they will leave no proof
And hide it far too well.
Besides, with proof or not
In hiding it will stay
So not to sound pathetic
Or lose in any way.
There is no way about it
In silence we must be
Try to block out the hell
That nobody can see... |

I know stuff like this happens in my daily life, but I've just kind of blocked it, considered it normal, when it really shouldn't be ...thanks for pointing it out.
Great poem, BTW. |
