Dreaming About The Desert, by Lunaria
|
I wrote your name in the sand
Mr. Chester Harvey Buttbottom
Oh, my, it looked so very grand
I got the chills. I got um, Got um
I am so very hot, I am dripping wet
Trudging through this desert land
I think, I'm sure I have just one regret
I didn't bring the water as I planned
If I could just find a Cactus here
In this vast desert so extremly hot
I'd split him open from ear to ear
With the hunting knife I haven't got
Maybe I could bite a small hole in him
Or a big one and drink his insides dry
As I see it now things are looking grim
And soon I shall be saying goodbye
There's nothing in sight but miles of sand
And maybe a sidewinder here and there
I want food and water on my command
But I know I'm just talking to the air
So I lay me down on this mound of sand
And hope the end of my thirst comes fast
Oh dear, dear Jasus come take my hand
For I know much longer I will not last
I opened my eyes and what the feck
I sneezed and then had a big cough
The covers were way up to my neck
And my air conditioner was off.
