Have You Ever

Have you ever come across someone that made you hold your breath just cause they seemed too good to be true, and if u breathe out you fear that this person would fade with your exhaled breath? The timing, the situations, the personality, the chemistry is unbelievably wonderful and you just stop and ask yourself the inevitable question..." what could possibly go wrong this time..?
For a while, you're enjoying the beautiful surprise "chance" meeting, and you slightly drop your guard thinking this friendship is meaningful
and it isnt superficial or masqueraded by fictitious pretenses... you're just being you, and they're just being themselves.... Just before you met, you were beginning to accept the thought that friendship was over rated.. no friendship carries a life-time warranty... too many "could- have- been-your friend-but-turned-against-you" friends led you to believe that failure was inevitable... But hope sowed a seed... and u see a little shoot and you believe again... The friendship blooms and blossoms.. you open up a part of you that you never even knew existed... You blush.. you wish they could see the effect
they have on you...The words that emanate from them do more than make you smile.. they make your heart smile...The laughter... the discussions... sharing thoughts, ideas, sadness, and even little
nothings... happiness it seems permeates the air whenever you're communicating with the person...even when they're not even there. The thought of taking things to the next level flashes through your
mind... nah.. thats just an illusion.. it'll never happen, u think..hoping the thought would go away and not haunt your soul... but it doesnt go away.. in fact it becomes a shared fantasy between you and your
friend...All the "what ifs?" and "Just suppose.." and all the "I wish that..."are mirrored sentiments between the two of you... Where were they before now... and how did you survive without them if you cant
even handle one day without thinking about them, or something they said... Maybe you were surviving... but not like this... This, you feel, is optimal survival...
You toy with the "next-level" idea for a while, but keep it minimal because you wouldnt dare ruin the friendship by rushing... so you decide to take it slow You reach to the point where you wonder if God himself
saw to it that this person entered your life for a specific purpose... a design foreseen by the Divine creator himself...They're not perfect, mind you.. For nobody is perfect ... but you match perfectly...The main physical barrier is distance... you tell yourself, thats no big deal.. you're taking it slow anyway, right?
... and you pray and hope that everything stays the same... the friendship never dwindles... and in fact, it doesnt... they're in your heart, under your skin, and you cant wait to feel their presence again... the waiting is almost unbearble.. Everything is ok. UNTIL....
