My addiction to you seems okay
Until I miss my daily fix
Staring at a blank screen
Silently falling to bits
Feeling assurance crumble easily
Like sedimentary rock
I sit, I wait, I hope
Just staring at the clock
8:20pm
I guess I'm sulking
But it feels deeper than that
I'm craving talking to you
But are you wanting it back?
I guess I'll just paint my thoughts black
And watch the time defrost
8:21pm
Slouched and pouting
My hands are numb
Only you can you make me feel
So incredibly dumb
The one thing I feared
Seems to have occurred
I've given you power
The numbers are blurred
8:24pm
How much more time until I give up?
How much more before I break?
I guess that it's all my fault
For offering you my heart to take
I'm still here internally bleeding
Feelings can be so misleading
Because I thought it was true
That you were offering your heart too
8:26pm
Sullenly staring
Hardly able to move
If this is a fight
I'm about to lose
Guess it won't happen
I guess I should go
Instead of waiting
For your hello
8:27pm.

Wow...that's amazing. You've voiced the agony of the "Lover's Leap" in a way that I'm envious I didn't come up with. that's so beautiful. |

This is such a cute and sweet poem, but 'real love' .. will possibly wait for more than 7 minutes! lol :) I know it's poetry and a good one at that! good job! smiles |
