Strength, by Don't build lies on ice cubes.
|
Where has all your strength gone?
Perhaps twas never there...
Perhaps I simply saw a mirage
That glimmered as I stopped to stare
Where did you leave your courage?
So that you could never find it again,
So that it disappeared from sight,
As it dissolved in the bitter rain
Where did you find your fear?
That overrides all rationality,
That encages you to a life,
Where from thought you shan't be free
Where did your passivity erupt?
Leaving you to remain supine,
Leaving you in utter silence,
For in sorrow you decline
Oh where has all your strength gone!
For I know that it was there
I know that it was no mirage
That simply glimmered as I stopped to stare. |
