be my dear mommy, by Chelsey
|
take my hand dear mommy,
and lead me from this place.
chase away my doubts and fears,
wipe the tears from off my face.
hold me in your arms dear mommy,
tell me ill be okay.
sugar coat all the bad news.
tell me what i want to hear you say.
kiss my cheek dear mommy,
replace my depression with some laughter.
start coming to my readings and competitions,
and tell me i did a good job after.
cry with me dear mommy,
let your tears mingle with mine.
kiss the bruises and make them fade,
sew my heart back together and tell me itll heal with time.
start calling me dear mommy,
ask me about my day.
even if the call lasts for only a moment,
it lets me know youre interested in what i have to say.
just tell me you love me dear mommy,
beat the shit out of my depression.
i just want that mother once again,
let me tell you of my confessions. |
