Time, by Lunaria

Time
Chorus: Time makes the oak grow tall
Time makes the rolling hill
Time turns summer into fall
And the purple sky is still
1
Summer found them deep in love
They frolicked under the sun
Stars twinkled at then from above
And then summer was done
2
Autumn took him far away
To a life she knew nothing of
Autumn grew into a cold winter's day
But still she was in love
3
Winter found her lonely
She heard from him no more
Always she loved him only
Why has he closed the door
4
The snow is gone now
But still he will not return
Forget him? She doesn't know how
And still with love she does burn
5
Spring brings a promise of his return
Two lovers united again
Till time stands still with love she'll burn
Tears fall, but she cries in vain.
