My Fathers Only Son, by Loneliness is condescending
|
Baggy jeans, short cropped hair, and dirty faces
Cheeks puffed wide I follow your shadow
I match you stride for stride
Child’s pure delight
Mother calls in from the yard
My hair is ruffled, successes is found
A child’s grin responds
Our love is showed not spoken, a man’s secret code
As time goes by and age it shows
I pick up your dreams, I cast solid, meeting every challenge
… But something’s changed
Hair falls in face as a glance is cast his way
Were walking where I strode after you
Hand in hand softly talking no boisterous yells
A kiss is passed…..
I’m blushing in purely female fashion

I like it... especially the last line. Although it also confuses me... |
