I kneel down and close my eyes And before I go to bed I pray So many thoughts cross my mind Hoping when I open my eyes everything will be ok I pray that my brother could walk out of prison I pray that he’ll come home a better man And that all this hurt will have been worth while And all of this was part of God’s plan I pray that between now and the end I can spread more smiles than tears I pray that God always walks with me by my side I pray that my prayers don’t fall on deaf ears I pray that all the people that left me down here I get to see in another life I pray that I’ll be the best dad there ever was I pray for beautiful kids and my vision of a wife I pray the before I die I’ll find my purpose I pray I don’t cry when its time to die I pray everyone knows I’d watch over them I pray they know I’d miss them more as each day goes by I pray tomorrow morning I see my girl smile I pray for that gentle tenderness to never leave my mind I pray I’ll get to see my brother I’ve never seen I pray something precious is what I’ll find I pray for Becca’s touch I pray I get to see her soon I pray she fills this deep heart of mine I pray at my window under the light of the moon I pray God blesses you I pray you feel him within you I pray when you read this you feel your soul fly I pray you pray too I kneel down and close my eyes And before I go to bed I pray So many thoughts cross my mind Hoping when I open my eyes everything will be ok
