promise, by j-ay rose
|
obsess to possess, poseidon took you
through and through, he surely shook you
about his seas, and kissed a kiss endlessly
cease and desist, forlorn lovers resist
guilt begot in nothing more than loving you
surely they intermingle two and two
quite perfectly so, before you never knew
but now you do indisputably
lop your limbs, and lips if that’s what it takes
no more horrid girl for heavens sakes
if that is what makes for certainty
cast another stone unto your shallows
dry and ramped run your seas of reverie
one morning you’ll hang from gallows
pour over cups of affection from your treasury
no voice will bewail for you were hollow
quite the sordid little wretch one could say
truth does hurt and is hard to swallow
tawdry pill so bitter, discernible hearts do twitter
surely as he and you are through
absolute of nothing without further ado
may anger writhe across your chest
forgive me love, forget me at best
for outward i spill forth with mirth
merry tidings mild, speak in high regard
no more than a martyr, merely a curse
bloody hypocrite quite a self-centered fool
eyes, and fingers of scorn, for yourself you will mourn
