Fate, by bedazzled
|
The sun smoothed heat in delicious waves,
Massaging bronze into our dreaming bodies.
The waves gently told my worries to hush,
Supported by your steady, hypnotic heartbeat.
I lay curled over your warm, bare skin,
Feeling content ripple through me in golden cascades.
Your arm curved around me, carefully cradling my head,
The blue sky provided a canvas for sweet hopes.
Your fingers softly slipped beneath my bikini,
You grinned cheekily at my upturned face.
I drank greedily from the light in your giggling eyes,
Kissing your forehead in happy surrender.
Your smile chased away the trickle of sadness,
Pushing each concern from my exhausted, waiting mind.
And lying on an expansive sandy bed,
I wondered which diamond grain knew the answer.
