Enlightened Tree, by Lunaria

Enlightened Tree
Oh, tree of wonderous light
You are so brilliant and bright
Your beautious aura so gold
You are a sight to behold
When did you ascend, if I may ask?
Was it a difficult and arduous task?
Was it a long, lonely road to walk?
Did others try your way to block?
I hope to ascend someday too
And look as lovely as you do
Your light shines so far and wide
Under your branches I shall abide
You can teach me all you know
And show me the way to go
Then I, too , shall ascend
And we two shall meld and blend
