Now that you're Gone, by Chalan
|
Now that you're gone,
life feels so empty without
you.
Now that you're gone,
I miss you with each passing
moment.
I took you for granted all
those years of fun we spent
together,
not realizing that you had to
go so soon, forever.
Now that you're gone, I've never
felt so lonely.
I'm always expecting you to be there.
Sometimes I thought I heard you
laugh but it was just my imagination.
You were the best thing out of all
God's creations.
Now that you're gone, I can see
you're smiling face, and that
mischievous twinkle in your beautiful
blue eyes in my dreams at night.
I burst through the door and I ache
to tell you the things I did that day.
But then I realize you're gone, like
the last rays of the sunrise at dawn.
I yearn for you to hold me tight
when the world isn't right.
But now that you're gone, that yearning
can't be insight.
Now that you're gone, my memory of you
Will always be as vivid as the sun's
light.
And if God chose me to join you and him,
I would gladly go without putting up much
of a fight.
All that I can say is, I hope that you're
ok and I'll meet you up there again someday. |
