The Secret Life of Silverstein

By Loneliness is condescending

He sits in the dark of his room thoughts of sky instead of roof Dreams soar under earth higher then the rest His tea sits cooled by the thoughts of a winter night Dampening his flame heartless storm The clock on the wall sits 40 minutes off and counting Seconds ticking backwards to his future Time muffling the voices that drift around the room Sounding of to save his soul Conversations go on without him as if he's not there It's all crushing him inside Crowding he feels them so he stands and bows and they surround him Internal conflicts have passed them by Laughter and smiles past the rest by and he embrace them Clearly forgiving them for their jaded thoughts Lifeless knocking is heard on the front door Cost of loving the forsaken ones A door opens to an empty parlor Giving up to deliver them Answering the question of simplicity Grand love too complicated for them to comprehend Perfect peace in all its robes Missing it for hectic days Presences leaves for other things like destruction in the world Maybe this time they will get it right It's not being counted on Siverstine is keeping face Instant gratification in a small amount of brevity Sickly dream how quickly it went wrong We will watch for it anyway Blind faith keeping us alive Watching those that see through the dust Beckoning us to hollowed land "Can you hear it"? Silverstine asks His outrage is nodding deaf to all "Can you feel it?" words spread like ice " Heat feels like fire" *pulling jackets tight Light dims down Everyone is leaving the time has passed Lightly he grabs his cup of tea Evening has passed He watches the steam rise from the cup Filling up his vision Heating his emotions readying him for the day Forever is his curse Today

There is a band called Silverstein, could there be a relation perhaps?
