Dreaming for what you cannot have, by lost the lonely dead
|
in such pain as never known,
let us despise this guise of lies
for who could wish it
for even the worst of enemies
empty broken promises with just
the sifting of a little time
pretence takes presidence
pretending to be pleased
while all the while
willing itself to nothingness
a fraud a flaw in perfection
nothing more now but a lost dream
i just want my dreams back
but each and every time
i see a frame of what was
it all fades to blackness
and my wishes, my hopes, my dreams
were all swept under the proverbial rug
and alas i am left an empty pantry
from the arsonal of me that was
where did you go and why...?
its all ive ever asked
the wind torments my sick flesh
rattling bones in the closet of my soul
i need a way to cast the past away
not a friend can embrace a wrech
strewn are the ruins and none
can build from what was
so it was sad all was lost
and we judge death to be guilty |
