U stand here
Embodying a beauty so often ignored
Three words having been said to you too often
Yet not often enough
You grow riper and riper
Hoping to be cared for not picked
Existing amongst the thorns and roses
In such a vast garden
Stuck so firmly within the soil
With such confusion as to your roots
And your reason for being
Not believing what you’ve been told
But being unable to forget
But never forget
This is a truth for you and us all
As purpose is chased by us all
And simplicity is put to the corner of our lives
Keep your place amongst the famine
Stand as a monument to existence
Keeping your spring throughout each winter visit
Bud and support new life
Then marvel at the beauty of your own forest
Passing on more than shape
Shelter your own from the harshness of the jungle
Then prepare yourself for the thunder
Then with a strike of lightening fall
