Glitter Footprints, by bedazzled
|
I plummeted through the atmosphere
and you smiled,
standing there
with your barbed wire net.
Promises stalked through my blood cells
and among the blank light
I believed.
Don’t speak, I begged your eyes,
but they screamed much louder
than the torrent of sound upon your whisper.
You wrapped each syllable
with a shining ribbon
and left glitter footprints.
Wrong.
Right…
They swayed,
they pushed,
and the moon fell.

It's about being in a relationship focused on control. Thanks for the comment :) |
