I will be there, by Veracity
|
I am usually unaware
Of the problems you face
All of the things you deal with
And your uneasy life
But now I've begun to see them
Rising up to the surface
They are there, vivid and grim
Why haven't I noticed them before?
So you tell me
Of all that's going on
No one would really would want to hear it
And I sit patiently and listen
People laugh at you, tease you
They call you nasty names
They give you a hard time at school
When you've done nothing to deserve it
It goes on, day after day
Somehow you manage to sit through it all
But you are depressed and sad
Feeling like you are alienated
I sit and listen with empathy
As you tell me with tears in your eyes
I, too, have experienced this
You are not alone
So, please, don't feel isolated
Because I am here for you
I will put my arm around your shoulder
And comfort and console you as best I can
I will be there for you
I shall give you my best advice
You are my best friend and you mean the world to me
I will always be there for you
For eternity...
