Insulated Stars, by bedazzled
|
I’ll walk away from your broken smiles,
The hollow shadow you watch,
From your perfect coffee,
And from your chocolate eggs,
Coloured foil littering my skylight.
I’ll forget what I couldn’t fix,
The fractures painted over,
The reflections behind doors.
I’ll lean away from tapestries of poison,
The ones that insulate stars,
To take my chances,
With an empty sky,
And lying parchment.
