A Little Longer, by A Lonely Song Subscribe to rss feed for A Lonely Song

Walking down the street
You hope to find someone to meet
That will change your life forever
When you catch his eye
You look inside another woman's lover
And you can't seem to look away

So you stay a little longer
To find another fix
To make the hole seem better
A lonely but bearable life

When a life is lost
Flowers die, babies cry
A spirit flies back home
But a part of you fades
It's something that happens to every soul
And nothing can fill it just the same

So you stay a little longer
To find another fix
To make the hole seem better
A lonely but bearable life

When you sit alone
At a coffee shop
Only a latte to fill the other spot
You reflect back on your life
A lonely soul and no one stayed to fight with you
The only man that's there
Sits upon the lonely chair
And says "come child for I forgive you."

So you stay a little longer
To find another fix
To make the hole seem better
A lonely but bearable life

THIS ONE'S A SONG, THOUGH YOU PROBABLY ALREADY REALIZED
THAT. I HAVE BEEN WRITING A LOT OF POEMS LATELY, SO I
PICKED UP MY GUITAR AND PLUCKED AWAY. IT'S ALL VERY SIMPLE,
BUT THE LYRICS DO SOUND BETTER WITH ME PLAYING ALONG. xox
