May the stars be with you, by Amnesia Subscribe to rss feed for Amnesia

Sitting by the edge of the canyon
that outlooks the distant stars
Stars are seen most clearly
spectacular on the darkest of nights
Saddled to this spot
facing the clear night sky
wondering what’s above us

So taken by them
that no notice was given
to the shadows that snare
nor to the sounds that scare
Sinking into the radiance
that bewitched many
ever so dear and full of hope
Somewhere down the line
a mistake was made
when faces turn to see
what lay next to thee

Stuffed with fear,
when darkness unfolds
to grab thee by thee hand,
to stare thee at the face
Struggling to break free
of the clutches that lay beside thee
Strange and terrifying it is
noises were heard
that send shivers down the spine

Snuffling a cry of the horrors
that were living in the backyard so free
Surrounded by this madness
no matter which turn was taken
Skewed were the days
and so ones will was shattered
somewhere down the lane

Slipping past were memories
of something grander,
something long forgotten
Suddenly it dawned upon this fellow;
all it takes was just to look up
Silent but always there
shinning were the stars above that sings

Slowly drawn to the brilliance
of its beauty once again;
fear slowly began to fade
Shimmering it is and so is thee,
for the knowing of what lay beside
thee was slowly forgotten
Stares that were so absorbed in its shining,
so once again silent whispers of hope
upon a shining star are heard
