Time and Time again

time and time again i hear the roars of lions the beat of the war drums moving fast inside my chest the rebellious young lioness has not returned from the hunt no valiant bird of her whereabouts has arrived The heard is growing restless The king of the jungle wishes to exile her his partner refuses his acts against her beloved lost child Claws are drawn at eachothers throats scared, angry, confused. as the herd joins in to try and quiet the quarrel things die down things go silent the day has gone bad as it often does when the rebellious young lioness forgets the herd does not forget her when she does not return from the hunt they are merely left without food left with worrie yet she remains to do this to us Time and time again.
