Stone, inspired by a poem by Charles Simic, by lacebutterflies Subscribe to rss feed for lacebutterflies

Go inside a stone.
Squeeze in between its crystals.
Tuck in your legs, arms and hands.
Then wait.
Wait inside the stone.
Forget your worries.
Forget your fears.
Loose all inhibitions.
Become one with the stone,
Become its strength,
Its glassy shimmer,
Its protecting edge.
Remember the feelings of safety,
Stability,
And subtle beauty,
and remember to take them
when you leave.

How exquisite. Just lovely.
