Embrace, by Josh.....
|
The coal etched sky, a few lonely stars
A single tree, a rugged cliff
Dark air so think, fogging up the mind
Hard to breathe, impossible to think
Consumed in fire, lungs about to burst
Friends all gathered near
Little tongues of fire
Face’s lit with the glow
Handpicked flowers everywhere
They adorn her favorite tree
The time is right
No one watches
He sneaks away
To be alone
Drawn to the edge
Leaning over the bloodthirsty rocks
A wind blows up she whispers softly
Ears alight with her soft voice
Her face appears in the waves below
Embracing her tightly he takes the leap
