Blue-grey Eyes

Blue-grey Eyes
Blue-grey eyes.
Eyes cold and unrevealing.
Like bits of frozen steel
Icy, beautiful and full of pain.
They reflect only sorrow now.
A dead soul peers unseeingly out of them.
Tears never sting these eyes
Smiles don’t reach high enough to lighten them.
Others fear to look into them
Gazing only from a safe distance.
My rage sparkles in the murderous twilight
Whenever those ever winter lakes in my head find him.
I come down upon him hard and fast, autumn rain over a dark ocean.
His blood will spatter like the deepest sapphires in platinum snow.
A once loved body mauled and bent beautifully like a birds broken wings.
Eyes open forever in shock like two full December moons.
Take no pity on him though, his story will be known
And years from know when someone reads this letter, ink faded and worn
They will know the chill his final bullet headed words that passed his lips.
“I will always love and never forgive you, My dear.”
And as the last drops of blood leave his paling skin
I kiss his mouth and shed my last tears for him.
