This Backbone, by itty bitty
|
I'm done crying for the mistakes that you've made
Done believing that it was always my fault
And to think, I used to admire you
To think, you used to be my friend
Seems like everyone's on each other nowadays
For insignificant bullshit that no one else can see
Those backstabbers hiding in the corner
They see me
They fear me
Because, guess what "friend"
I just grew that backbone I've been missing since birth
And I'm using it against you
So wave that damn red flag
You better get ready for war
Because the world isn't behind you
They don't care
And the world ain't behind me
They don't give a damn
That ego of yours is sure to deflate soon
When I come pounding down
Because I'm done believing that it was all my fault
I'm done denying what others knew right away
This backbone of mine is getting bigger
And that hole you delved in my self-esteem is filling
So wave that damn red flag
You better get ready for war
Because the world isn't behind you
They don't care
And the world isn't behind me
Because they won't know |
