The Tapestry and I Feel the Earth Move by Carole King

what i grew up on.
the old days.
when i heard these songs, no matter how young i danced and rolled.
i practiced my moves on the table the couch the floor,
doing summersaults- cartwheels even- singing with my mother and having a fun day.
we cleaned to these songs, danced and sang to these songs, relaxed to these songs, and drove to Louisiana countless times with these songs.
They weren't any different from the rest of her albulm, nor were they any more special from the other various artists and albulms that my mother and father enjoyed.
The Eagles, Patsy Cline, Garth Brooks, and more.
What made these songs special to me was Tapestry as the first song I remembered lyrics to, and I Feel The Earth Move was the first song i remembered dancing to.
They were a part of my childhood that I can never forget.
They were first, and they spoke to me of love, hope, and many other emotions and feelings that I never began to understand until ,much later in life.
Like now I can relate to these songs and understand why they impacted my life so.
This is a poem of sorts to represent and show my love for what these songs did for me way before I understood why or what they could do.
Even at the end of my life- these songs any many others from my parents time, will stay with me and guide me when their inspirational words can help.
