Over the Horizon, by Ken Henderson
|
walking away towards the sunset
tripping over the broken laces of my shoes
worn out from the miles i walked to find you
not knowing whether this is right or wrong
never to turn back
knowing your eyes are filled with tears
tear drops falling to the ground
mind racing, heart pounds
wanting to turn around and come back
just to wipe the tears away and say everything will be ok
our love will never die
trying to hold my head high
not allowing the pain to consume me
my figure only a black dot over the horizon
fading away to nothing
turning back now only to be to late
out of sight but not out of mind
our lifes will proceed as planned
timing just wasnt right for us
memories of you will linger
running wild and free through my soul
reminding me everyday that i was free with you
i felt alive
thinking of you everyday
bringing me to life and feeling happy
we will meet again down our broken paths
realizing maybe it was right |
