i am sittin here all alone once again waiting for you to come home you say that you'll be home late and that i shouldn't wait dinner has long since gone cold the night is getting oh so old i pick up the phone and dial your number message bank comes on "baby, where are you" i say "call me back when you get this please" i put down the phone two hours are gone and your still not home where have you gone later in the night when sun is just peaking i hear your footsteps in the room you lay down beside me you kiss me on the cheek i can smell her perfume on your shirt can't believed you lied to me you said you'd be at work all this time you were with her leaving me all alone you kiss me on my cheek whisper "goodnight baby" a tear trickles down my face i feel so betrayed an utter disgrace how could i have not known falling for you was a mistake
