Rainbows In My Shadow, by bedazzled
|
Would you hide behind the walls of fear,
fixated in place by guilt,
contemplating the train tracks to nowhere
up my arm?
I won't follow buterflies anymore
because here, in this place,
I can see
there's nowhere to conceal
your falling syllables.
You can't understand the bullets that I harbour
and you will never see
the rainbows in my shadow
because you're too busy
looking at yourself.
Where will you put all your delusions
now the light shines on them so clearly?
Maybe you're just holding onto
nothing
because you couldn't define
black from white.
Am I supposed to wait for you to tell me to breathe?
Broken mirror shards inside me
but you don't seem to care,
you leave me in between.
Please just let me go
if I'll never have your heart
because I won't go wasting
my precious time
on YOU.
