A Devastating Twist

It was a late afternoon with the wind blowing coldly. The clouds were all gray and dim with little beams of sunshine peeking through while the leaves wrestled in the breeze. Everyone stayed inside sleeping while this young child named Nayeli, with honey brown eyes and wavy brown hair played outside.
She was running, jumping, and playing with her green balloon until it got caught up in the blustery weather and started to float away. She tried to run towards it, hoping it would get pushed back down to her level paying no attention to the street as she sprinted towards it.
As she started to cry she turned around to an earsplitting siren of a semi truck skidding its breaks, but it was too late she was paralyzed with fear and couldn’t move. WHAM!! Right into the grill and meaty little chucks filled the streets.
Awaked by the commotion of the ambulance, Carina, her mother, ran to the scene in tears. She wasn’t sure what happened but knew something bad had happened to her precious little girl. Only two more weeks and Nayeli would have turned seven, but now instead of a Birthday they were planning a funeral.
Going threw deep depression she planned thoughts of suicide. The funeral was heartbreaking when she had to see the coffin without her daughters little body in it. All she had were the remains that they had cremated into a gold and silver vase. She wasn’t sure what to think anymore as friend Mike held her tightly as he too cried on her shoulder. She thought that she had nothing left to live for because all she could think about was her husband Nathan death. That had happened on the same day two years ago.
The two weeks went by as Carina tried to pick herself up. Her current fiancé Gabriel had left for a while. She opened her daughter’s presents in tears, but then all of a sudden had to run towards the bathroom as she barfed up chunks of beef from last night’s dinner. She had weird tingly feelings in her tummy and went under the counter to take a pregnancy test. BAM! It was positive. Now when she thought her world was falling apart, she found a ray of golden light peaking through the darkness.
When Gabriel came home she informed him the exciting news. About a month later they went to the doctors and it was a girl. She was thrilled. As months past she got ready for her child and gave birth to a healthy boy. Boy? Oh wait there’s another! She gave birth to healthy twins a boy and a girl, whom she named Nayeli and Nathan.
