Just A Doll, by bedazzled
|
I can feel all the silence
pushing on my skin,
so I choke, babe I know,
I can't let it in.
The emptiness swirls,
I'm becoming numb,
craving release but
I can't let it come.
I watch all the colours
drip out of the scene,
stare at the outlines,
wonder what they mean.
I cannot let go
of the tears, cannot cry,
'cause if they fall
I know, so do I.
I am a ghost,
just a whisper you hear
when you're tripping again,
when reality's near.
I'm the warmth in your arms
in the hours we steal
and the ice in your pulse
as you wish it was real.
I'm sugar in your mouth,
the bitter aftertaste,
I'm the forbidden love,
the one gone to waste.
I'm the one with the marker
that's counting the toll
maybe you don't notice
'cause I'm just a doll.
