Crossroads, by . QUEENIE .
|
crossroads are the hardest part
you stand in the middle
and dont know where to start.
you want to follow
what it is you know..
but then your heart
screams out no.
you know it's right
you can't hold on too tight
you end laying
crying
in the dark of the night.
just as a stranger passes
you have to wonder
why you're not one of the masses
the people who it seems
find the troubles of life no bother
the decisions they make
are simple and easy.
you wonder when you should
stop the crying
well, dear girl
we all lay here dying...
dying in hopes so vain
that someday
we'll meet up here
at the crosseroads
once again
and we can hold hands
with heads held high
we can do whatever it is we want
never a question as to why.
you know it's right
you can't hold on too tight
you end laying
crying
in the dark of the night.
but no
now we're alone
laying low
cold
wind blown.
the past is behind us
the future infront
and yet, blinded
we stand alone
not knowing where it is
we're supposed to go.
when was it your eyes
became so vacant?
when was it that i lost touch
with reality?
when, when did we stop here
when was it we got lost?
and you're my last thought tonight
at the crossroads of life.
you know..
you know it's right
you can't hold on...
hold on too tight..
you end laying
crying, crying...
in the dark of the night.
xoxo
