I'm the one you chose
I'm the one you hurt.
I'm the one you put behind you
So many days ago.
Remember me?
I'm the shadow you cast behind you,
I'm the one who'll always care.
I'm the one who no one notices,
Invisible now that you're gone.
Remember me?
I'm the only one who really knows you,
I'm the only one who'll always be there.
I'm the one who keeps to herself,
Watching with her heart instead of her eyes.
Remember me?
I'm the one in the corner,
The one who you let go.
I'm the girl who will always be,
Sitting, waiting, ever so patiently.
