Fighter, by bedazzled
|
Lost amongst these tapestries of lies,
they made such a beautiful disguise.
As you unravel, I come undone
but I want you to know, I've still won.
It was you pushing us apart
that only served to fuse our hearts.
It was you and your self-righteous hate
that played this ironic hand of fate.
If you could accept, I could be real
but you're not, so fake's the deal.
Just some superficial speech
and once again, I'm out of reach.
Can you see I've been this way so long
just 'cause you're 'right' and I am 'wrong'?
Because you 'know' whereas I just 'think',
'cause you can 'swim' where I just 'sink'?
So just keep screaming, wear that frown
'cause I'm in love, I won't back down.
I can take that and much more
'cause some things are worth fighting for.
