Those Were the Days, by Simply-Me-20104
|
I miss those years
We played outside
And everyone heard,
And came when you cried
When we rode bikes
And played school
When no one cared
Whose clothes were cool
Everyone was friends
We hung out each day
Out in the yard
Was where we played
When we had to beat
The street lights in
And we spent all day
With Barbie and Ken
When we had "powers"
And wrote our own plays
I must admit it,
Those were the days
We had no worries
We were care-free
We were so content
Things were so easy
Now we grow older
And are in our teens
Things are so different
They no longer seem
So innocent or even
As simple as things were
Not as happy as when
We were boys and girls
Now those days are gone
They left in a blaze
We'll always remember
Those were the days!
