Alive, by bedazzled
|
Their voices
echo through lonely spaces
deep inside.
One by one
I've watched them
turn and walk away.
I thought I couldn't breathe,
had to find somewhere to hide,
started seeing the
sunshine decay.
Cocooned in cobwebs
I thought I'd never escape,
I hated myself
so, so much.
The words couldn't cleanse
the dirt from within,
I was nothing, so numb
'til I felt your touch.
I am paralysed,
lying here,
wrapped in your arms.
I can see your heart
in your eyes.
Every whisper
is another chain link,
we'll never be apart.
Baby, you know
it's 'cause of you
I'm alive.
