Doldrums, by Faith
|
I lie
adrift
as the warmth of the water
leeches the chill
from my bones.
I am
submerged
as my heartbeat reverberates
resonating through
the water, through me.
I exhale
sinking
as this transparent blanket
fills ears and eyes
nose and mouth.
I am
weightless
as the layers fall away
pulled from my body
from my bones.
Adrift.
