Little Sister, by ray!
|
There are tears on her face
And the cut on her cheek bone
Still bleeds fresh blood even though
The tears constantly wash it clean
She’s shivering, sobbing and shattered inside
And he looks on,
Unable to take her pain for himself
He cradles her head against his chest
There is blood on his shirt, sticky and moist
And on his fingers, blood that burrowed under
His nails and cuticles is visible too
He knows he doesn’t have much time
So he kisses her head and holds her tighter,
His little sister
One is disabled by her pain, the other by the truth
He was unable to see when anger clouded his vision
“Will he come for me again?” is all she can ask
His eyes slowly close and the answer is there
He wants to tell her but doesn’t want it to feel real
She feels his hungry hands on her body and remembers
She tried to fight back
She can still hear his greedy, ragged breathing
But her brother knows he will never breathe again

Wow! This is a very strong poem! I love how the story is hidden in it! It's so sad that this can be a reality. Kind of eye-opening... I'm sure many can relate to the emotion behind it, simply because of the title! Great poem! |
