Freedom, by bedazzled
|
What would you know
about freedom?
It's all chains and locks
and rusted envy.
You flush with green
at my energy,
don't you?
Well I sink
with desperation
as I fight your restrictions.
I belong
to failed expectations.
I can't even love right.
I can't love
who you want me to,
I can't love
the 'right' person.
Each misled heartbeat
a direct armour-piercing barb,
to your mind.
What egotistic bitterness.
As if my heart would align itself
only for the sole purpose of
hurting you.
You don't know
how forbidden love
chokes me.
You listen for footsteps,
you live on suspicion
but. where's. your.
proof.
your evidence?
Unseen, it corrodes you
because you know
you have lost me
just as I
have lost myself.
