My Battle, by Ken Henderson
|
Crawling on my hands and knees
Pushing the dirt away
Clawing my way to you
A relentless struggle
Finger nails wore down to the skin
Dirt sticking to fresh blood dripping from my limbs
Thoughts of you supplies my only energy to push on
Tears leaving streaks upon my face
Now as I look into your eyes
Seeing the hidden passion between us
I know this journey has been long and hard
But my heart is yours
No matter how badly my body is mangled
My love for you will never die
My arms will always be open to you
