let her go, by Mary Magdalene
|
being forgotten
after swallowing
such lies
i wanted her back
like can't we
just go back
to how it was
laughter
and sunlight
we didn't it
as long as we
could write
hours on end
spent
bent
over the black books
pouring our souls
onto paper
and then exchanging
is it possible
to miss
what now only
causes grief
well
it's been a while
gotten colder
i'm a lot
older
and the things
we shared
just aren't enough
to waste another
second
leave her to
her busy life
and leave that
swollen wanting
leave her to her
strife |
