Casualty, by bedazzled
|
Still running
from last week's shadow.
Still bleeding
from last year's storm.
Every haemorrhage
disguised.
I trip,
you blink.
There are voices
in the curtains
that scream
against the light.
When I scream,
you smother.
Just another casualty
of the quest for
perfection.
Every flaw is just
another bullet
to you.
I load,
you shoot.
I should have seen it coming.
The greedy horizon
eats the sky
in the battle of words.
I lie,
you believe.
Deception is my only weapon.
When will you
accept?
I love
who you
hate.

Makes me wonder who could ellicit such harsh, yet poetic words from you... |
