Take these broken wings and learn to fly, by DakotaSky
|
Look at the moon so full and bright
I stand up tall with all my might
I slowly start to spread my wings
All I hear is the wind that sings
Im lifted and inch and start to fly
Then fall to the ground
My only reaction is a sigh
Silence is the only other sound
As I keep trying and do not succeed
Tears fall down my face
I let the wind take the lead
My heart reaches a faster pace
Im liftd into the stars and the dark sky so dull
Then the rush stops and I begin to fall
When I reach the ground again
Battered wings and bruised hope
I realize this is just one try
And I can not give up and mope
I will keep trying to reach my goal
If it takes all my life
In it, I will put all my soul, strenght and strife
I will take these broken wings and learn to fly
And it will get easier with every tear I cry

Wow! Pretty powerful! Great symbolism and I love the optimism! Has a really great message within! |
