Truth, by moshqueen
|
I am seeking an end
in perpetual darkness
staring over the edge
peering into unimaginable depths.
Clutching the jagged rocks
the stones hurt my fingers.
A single bead of crimson
fallen, lost forever into blackness
as honed points pierce my flesh.
Tears rush in to flood my eyes
but as my wounds
trickle tiny streams upon my wrists
I realize it isn't my fingers
only my very heart & soul
tearing & wrenching my insides.
The agony writhing within
I cannot break free.
I crumble.
Fists clenched, salt stinging
I catch each tear on open lacerations
as I open trembling hands
to threatening clouds.
I wait for the rain
shining new light upon a tarnished love
cleansing a battered desire.
In the dripping darkness
rolling thunder hugs me close.
The tormenting remnants of distress
is washed away in the night.
