What they do to me

RSS

By Annie B. SnowRaven

I looked around me From the moment I took the first step I walked, I talked But somehow it didn't work They all seemed cheerful Laughing and being stupid I thought it would make me happy too But again, it alo didn't work I moved from class to class Being different no matter what I laughed, I smiled... Goddamn it! It doesn't work! Wherever I am Whenever I am I'm still feeling different Everything they do Every word they say Every laugh they share Every joke they make It only reminds me More and more How different I truley am From their perfect little world

Thanks for the comment! What I get from this poem, first impression, is looking in on a clique, wanting to be like them?? I guess you could go different ways with it, but all I can say is that you have to learn to NOT try and conform to their rules, their ways. Be you! That's the best advice anyone can give!! I really like this poem! It has an interesting story and I love the way it's written!!

This poem really reminds me of myself. You have perfectly described that feeling when you're left out. The poem is fantastic!
