Feared, intimidating, evil, and heartless.
This is how I'm perceived.
They'll cross the street to avoid walking by.
But that's not me; that's my wall.
It protects me like it protects China.
What they see is a sheet that is held in front of me
There for me to hide under,
To shield me from the world.
No one ever bothers to look behind the painting I put out.
For if they should, behind it they'd find a locked safe with
the true me inside.
Caring, loving, passionate, and scared.
This is how I perceive myself.
How my friends, family, and works see me.
Those who have dared to crack the code and look inside at
the true person I hold inside.
So I dare you to crack the code
Learn who is under that sheet
Because however feared, intimidating, evil, and heartless
they are perceived,
That might not be them.
