Take Me Away, by bedazzled
|
Entrenched in me
are these deep black lines.
I know the haphazard pattern,
I read the dark geometry.
One slashed here,
another imprinted there.
Take me, take me,
take me away.
Vanilla dreams crushed
like sugar beneath a spoon.
Letting the black beams divide
through these glass prisms;
defracted, bent, a rainbow result.
Armed with embellishments,
take me away.
Blindfolded, you see
in familiar shades.
Deprived of the nectar,
I stall, I wilt.
But you just keep on reading
the scripts that you wrote.
I cannot play so take,
take me away.
Fractures down my spine
as I pull and you push.
You push too hard
and the icicles stab.
If you don't love me
just let me know.
Please take, take,
take me away.
