Lunar, by bedazzled
|
There is not enough
space
inside your lunar soul.
It seems so luminous,
so beautiful
but has no light of its own.
You can't fit me there anymore,
having traded a diamond star
for this replacement.
I don't know why
you did this,
traded emotion for
the emotionless.
Traded the fertile
for the barren.
Traded love, my love,
for detachment.
You made the wrong deal
with the lying skies.
You could have brushed
eternity, if you'd held
onto my hand.
But you didn't,
you switched off.
You don't want light anymore.
You despise illumination,
you can't stand the shadow
that it throws behind you.
I can.
And I miss you, with your
jewel-star heart,
your sparkling emotions -
good and bad.
Please come back to me,
my everything,
I miss you.
Forget all about
your illusion
of space.
