Soldier at war, by LostSoul
|
Everyday I fight for a better tomorrow,
So you can live a life for another tomorrow
All I see around me are children of sorrows,
Children crying
Soldiers dying
Old men spying
I remember a time when I was innocent.
Now all I see are blood splattered,
Brains scattered, bruised and battered.
Visions at night that keep me awake
Won't leave me alone so I can contemplate.
Dreams of once a reality
That has passed
Has now resurfaced back in my dreams.
Children crying
Soldiers dying
Old men spying
I wish it would all end
I want my innocence again.
But it's gone,
Face reality
Haunted visions of dead souls,
Friends battled through time
Didn't make it this one last time.
This is my war.
This is my time.
Fightin' for a war,
Biding my time
'Till the visions no longer haunt me...
'Till I gain back what's inside me... |
